SiriusAntares | Hi guys! i'm new to this forum. So my question is what does Jupiter conjunct Moon on 15th degree of Cancer in 8th house mean?
|
Aries23Degrees | Jupiter-Moon conjunct in Cancer in 8th house. How is your relationship with Mom? |
SiriusAntares | Emotionally unstable, she cares too much for me (i am 16 but still), not very good |
Aries23Degrees | 8th house for me I see as emotional scars. Moon-esp in Cancer there emphasizes that the hurt comes from relationships that we grew up with. Usually for most, their first contact with emotional relationships is with Mom/Dad. So Moon in Cancer on the 8th house cusp suggests that there may be something with your early environment that is a sore point. Now Jupiter in Cancer in 8th suggests that your beliefs with regards to family, closeness and being taken care of are compromised. You may have a fragmented idea when it comes to what family/belonging means/is. The good news is that with this in mind, the restitution also comes from the same positions. Moon is in its own home in Cancer and is exalted in Jupiter in Cancer. So you are "super" Cancer as the two are also conjunct. Past the hurt you also have inborn capabilities of creating a family of your own. As you have experience and inner wisdom of what family really means and what it means to belong. It makes you soft, forgiving and accepting of others. Capable of giving unconditional love from an authentic place of offering both protection and sustenance. Its interesting that you mentioned instability and feeling smothered. Cancer often struggles with that balance i.e When does caring become scarring? It is also tough to tell where your feelings end and the feelings of the people u care about begin. Am I protective of them or pillow killing them? |
SiriusAntares | Thanks for the reply btw ^_^ it becomes when i go out or just around the house she becomes worried. My other family members are also very protective of me which gets on my nerves :-( they did not protect me when I was younger like 4 when i experienced sort of sexual abuse, also i hate the fact they do not treat me as an almost grown-up but a 5 year old, they find me too stupid for so called "grown-up" conversations, maybe its just Miminko conjunct MC :-( is there anything good with this conjunction? |
Kannon McAfee | While Jupiter-Moon aspects like this in Cancer can relate to over-protectiveness or over-mothering, given Jupiter's tendency for desiring the best and wanting to protect, ultimately your natal aspects are about you. Moon = internal feeling, feminine principle, emotional memories, nurturing instinct, personal needs. Jupiter = growth principle, expansion, optimism, generosity. So when these two are together, there is a natural generosity that wants to express itself. Cancer is generally the best sign for Jupiter (if considering only sign), because it encourages giving of yourself and shows you instinctively understand how. The house position is more subtle. 8th house/water arrangements generally need creative outlets or service outlets in order to merge one's interest with something lasting. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology - by the declinations guy Expert birth chart rectification Complete rising sign descriptions |
mereiposa | I've always interpreted it as increased expression of self, so in the original poster's case- increased ability to express emotional self through deep topics and spiritual endeavors. And then of course any other aspects at play here would color it too. Is this correct? So if it is Sun conjunction Jupiter in Cancer in the 8th, would it be the intensified desire to express one's sense of self through depth and psychological being?

It means you get attached too much and may be needy but in spite of this you stay optimistic, you probably cry very easily and your family means everything to you. I bet you have a lot of ups and downs emotionally. |
SiriusAntares | Everything on point! When I was younger I cried for literally every ******* thing you know.. And was very, very protective of my family.. But air cooled me down in my chart. And I love it. lol |
florence | I've Jupiter cancer in 8th opposite moon & a description of moon-Jupiter aspects I recall there's some equivalence given between personal emotions and that of wider society I.e not understanding or being understood that everyone doesn't feel to the same extent. Emotions are big. Also, this was probably relating to the opposition, but some inability to bridge or balance personal life with operating in the wider world e.g Being a single mother often conflicts with my need and wants to operate out there. Maybe in your case there'd be a conflation of both. In the 8th, I've had experiences where there's a very peculiar and esoteric emotional connection to the wider world |
